Small Groups

A “Cluster” is the name for our home groups, and they are the life-blood of this ministry. It is here we experience the family aspect of ministry. It is a safe place to learn and grow and connect with the body of Christ. All our home groups are open, friendly and waiting just for you to join in the fun and fellowship they all offer! So scroll down just a little bit, and check out the current clusters! Otherwise click here for questions and answers about our Home Fellowship Groups. And of course, this full cluster list is also available on our Vinelife Newsletter, as always!

— Questions & Answers About Clusters:

So, how do you get involved at Vineyard of Licking County?
Small Groups (Clusters) are central to the way we do church at Vineyard of Licking County. We believe that small groups are the best way to provide a context for real community, discipleship and ministry. Clusters meet in homes throughout Licking County, on most nights of the week. All of our Clusters are “open” meaning that anyone can go to any cluster. Every Cluster is different, so you may want to try and visit a few before you decide which on is for you. Eventually, we strongly encourage everyone to stick with one Cluster, because it will make it easier for you to build strong relationships, know others and be known, and learn how God has uniquely made you to serve in this church body.

What goes on at a Cluster meeting?
The average Cluster meeting last about two hours. During that time, there will be worship, group discussion over a passage or teaching from the Bible and an opportunity for members to pray with each other. The rest of the time is spent in “fellowship” – coffee, cake, conversation and just getting to know each other.

Do I have to be invited before I can attend a Cluster?
Absolutely not! All of our clusters are open to anyone who would like to visit and “check them out.”

What will happen if I just “show up” at a Cluster?
You will be warmly welcomed and invited to participate to the degree you feel comfortable. All of Clusters are accustomed to visitors and new people. We advise, however, that you phone the leader in advance to make sure the group is still meeting at the same time and place. Leader’s phone numbers are listed on the information cards in the entrance room.

Do I have to make a long-term commitment to a particular Cluster?
No. You are free to visit as many Clusters as you like, and to attend a group for as short or long a period as you want. We do recommend, however, that you select a Cluster and stick with it for a while. That will give you a chance to really get a feel for the group and to form meaningful relationships with others.

Can I bring my children with me to a Cluster meeting?
Some groups do provide supervision or child care at the meeting place or nearby, but most do not. It is best to check in advance by calling the leader or host of the Cluster you are interested in.

Questions. . .?
If you have any additional questions about Clusters, please call the church office (740)364-1750 during the week and we will try to help you get connected.
